Favorite High Intesnsity Rides

Fairy Godmother knows that no theme park vacation would be complete without riding your favorite rides. To help you select your “must-do” rides, here are Theme Park Fairy Godmother’s favorite high intensity rides:

  • Magic Kingdom – Big Thunder Mountain (especially at night). Theme Park Fairy Godmother loves this classic roller coaster and still rates it higher than Snow White’s Mine Train.
  • Epcot – Mission Space (Orange Intensity)
Theme park Fairy Godmother recommends the orange intensity Mission Space if you can handle it! The simulated g-forces really make your space launch dreams a reality.
  • Animal Kingdom – Dinosaur
Yes, Dinosaur! This ride gets heavily overlooked by Expedition Everest, but this fantastic dark ride is really fun! Dark ride, air conditioning, and Dinosaurs!
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Tower of Terror/Rockin’ Roller Coaster
This park has Theme Park Fairy Godmother in a split between Tower of Terror and Rockin’ Roller Coaster! Both are excellent for different reasons. Rockin’ Roller Coaster brings Aerosmith and Neon Lights together for this crazy in the dark roller coaster! Theme Park Fairy Godmother recommends the back row seat, unless you really want a photo!  Tower of Terror in Florida is WAY better than its mini counterpart in California. Tower of Terror is a elevator to the 5th dimension with a random amount of drops! This one is a must ride multiple times to really enjoy the full experience.
  • Universal Studios Orlando – Harry Potter Escape Gringots
Who doesn’t want to break into Gringots and escape with Harry’s help? Theme Park Fairy Godmother recommends the front row of each car in order to really enjoy the full experience.
  • Universal Islands of Adventure – Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
The ultimate tour of Hogwarts in a high intensity ride with an invisible track. Beware of Spiders and Dementors!
  • Disneyland – Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye
Help Indiana Jones escape the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Unlike Florida, this is a RIDE not a show! Board the jeep and head into the temple in this dark ride!
  • Disney’s California Adventure – California Screamin’
Make sure to ride this updated take on a classic boardwalk coaster. This is also the only looping roller coaster in the DLR.
  • Universal Studios Hollywood – Transformers The Ride
The Transformers ride is a fun dark ride with 3D immersion. A dark indoor ride with an Optimus Prime mission. Please note: this ride is much better than the movies!

Rides are always being updated and changed and favorites may change as well…. Especially with Hogwarts coming to Orlando in Spring 2016!
